Poetic Ambiguity

Part of the wonder and beauty attached to photography is its ambiguity. By framing the world out of context, moments in time become poetically frozen.

This collection is based around that very idea, embracing the poetry in the ambiguity of framed moments in time.

Luminosity

Photography is comprised of light, and as such, the effect and imagery of light can be manipulated and played with to create expressionistic pieces.

This collection is a study of light in photography, including light art, shadow portraiture, and the relationship between light and objects.

Photo Composites

Mary's photograph composites are designed not so much to reflect a physical reality, but more so an emotional or mental reality. They have a sort of whimsical, artistic look to them. I combine photography, hand-drawn sketches, and Photoshop techniques to create my various pieces.
